Maple End-Grain Butcher Block

Saved from the burn bin

This maple end-grain butcher block was commissioned as a Christmas gift. It is made entirely of discarded cut off from other projects.

It takes more work to refine the lumber, but I believe there’s something beautiful to be made even from something destined for a burn bin.
