Rooted in the idea of a home tree, this custom build was made for a little girl with a deep love for monkeys. We wanted every detail to capture that sense of childlike wonder.

The fret board features her family portrayed as monkeys, thoughtfully sized and positioned as if climbing the tree together and guiding one another along.

The rosette, fret markers, and tuner veneers are brought to life with New Zealand Paua Shell and represent leaves.

The last piece that brought this build together was the hand carved branches integrated into the bridge and the abalone inlayed string pegs.

My favorite detail was hand-crafting her favorite stuffed monkey into the custom end graft inlay, officially inspiring the build's title: Monkey Business.
